MATERIALS

Our products are made of hot dipped galvanized steel with a zinc-iron alloy coating (A designation). This alloy offers superior corrosion protection compared to cold-rolled steel. For interior openings, we offer A40 galvannealed steel, and for exterior openings, A60 galvannealed steel.

de La Fontaine also offers stainless steel type 304 and 316 products, satin finish no. 4, for damp areas or for areas where corrosive products are in use. Stainless steel is also ideal for high-end projects due to its esthetic appeal.

Our galvannealed steel is well suited to be painted directly, but we also offer a primer product as well as prefinishing for our clients. Our paint products are designed to respect the environment while meeting our industry’s performance standards.

  • ASTM A653/A653M
    Our hot dipped galvanized steel is compliant with ASTM A653/A653M (Standard Specification for Steel Sheet, Zinc-Coated (Galvanized) or Zinc-Iron Alloy-Coated (Galvannealed) by the Hot-Dip Process).
  • ASTM A240/A240M
    Our stainless steel is compliant with ASTM A240/A240M (Standard Specification for Chromium and Chromium-Nickel Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet, and Strip for Pressure Vessels and for General Applications).
  • STEEL GAUGE
    To ensure quality, our steel gauge exceeds the standards of NAAMM/HMMA 803-92.

  • post-consumer: 20%.
