DE LA FONTAINE Industries, a designer and manufacturer of steel doors and frames, is looking for a Field Service Technician for its Grand Prairie facility.

With more than 50 years of experience in the steel door and frame industry, our reputation for reliability is well established.

This role reports to the Service/Operations leadership and requires strong hands-on field experience.

Your role:

• Install, repair, and adjust hollow metal (HM) doors and frames directly on construction sites;
• Perform on-site welding and finishing when required;
• Diagnose and repair product defects efficiently and safely;
• Follow jobsite schedules, safety standards, and company procedures;
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Customer Service, and Site Superintendents to ensure work quality and client satisfaction;
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate results clearly;
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the company work van in good condition;
• Occasionally assist with production or preparation work at the factory, as needed.

Schedule: Full-time with travel within your assigned region (Sacramento, Orlando, Texas, or Indianapolis).
Salary: Based on experience.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:

• Proven field experience (minimum 3–5 years) in installation and repair of steel or hollow metal doors and frames;
Welding experience (on-site or shop);
• Strong technical troubleshooting and mechanical skills;
• Excellent time management and attention to detail;
Customer-service oriented with clear, professional communication;
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your region.
