DE LA FONTAINE Industries, a designer and manufacturer of steel doors and frames, is currently looking for a candidate to fill a Laser Operator position for its Woburn facility. Our company expertise and reputation for reliability is based on more than 50 years of experience in the steel door and steel frame industry.

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented laser cutting operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of laser cutting machines, ensuring precise and high-quality cuts for our steel.

Your role:

  • Set up and program laser cutting equipment according to order specifications;
  • Analyze blueprints, cutting files, and shapes to be created;
  • Regularly inspect cut parts to ensure their compliance with quality standards and technical specifications;
  • Initiate the laser cutting process and monitor the operation to ensure precision and quality of the cut;
  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on laser cutting equipment.

Working hours: Permanent. Day Shift. 36 working hours per week, with 40 hours of pay. Friday-Sunday. From 6am to 6pm.

Salary: From $19.27/h to $23.02/h (more if experienced). Salary increase after 6, 12 & 18 months.

You are the person we are looking for if:

  • You have 1 to 2 years’ warehouse experience;
  • You have the ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints;
  • You are precision and show attention to detail to ensure high-quality cuts;
  • You have the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the cutting process;
  • You have the ability to work in a team and collaborate with various departments;
  • You have good time and space management skills;
  • You have the ability to learn;
  • You have knowledge of metallic materials, particularly steel, and cutting techniques;
  • You have good manual dexterity and ability to work quickly;
  • You have a professional or personal experience using small tools;
  • You are reliable and you work in a meticulous, rigorous and versatile way.
