DE LA FONTAINE Industries, a designer and manufacturer of steel doors and frames, is currently looking for a candidate to fill a Mig Welder position for its upcoming Sacramento (CA) facility. Our company expertise and reputation for reliability is based on more than 50 years of experience in the steel doors and frames industry.
Your role:
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel doors and frames according to technical specifications;
- Read and interpret plans and technical blueprints to ensure the accuracy of welds;
- Prepare metal surfaces by performing necessary cleaning, grinding, and cutting before welding;
- Control the quality of welds by conducting visual inspections and using appropriate measuring tools;
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while complying with safety and health standards.
Working hours: Permanent. Day shift. 40h/week from 7am to 3:30pm (Possibility of working overtime)
Salary: From $19.27/h to $23.02/h (more if experienced). Salary increase after 6, 12 & 18 months.

You are the person we are looking for if:
- You have a degree in welding or recognized welding certification;
- You are proficient in MIG welding techniques and associated equipment;
- You have the ability to read and interpret plans and technical blueprints;
- You have skills in preparing metal surfaces (cleaning, grinding, cutting);
- You pay attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds;
- You have strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
- You have the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues;
- You are compliant with safety standards and work procedures;
- You are able to work with thin steel (an asset).
